In late October 2026, Patrick Sigurdsson, President of the CC FRIS French Chapter, travelled to Iceland with the international French group JPA (Damien and Jacques Potdevin), a network of 5,000 professionals across 89 countries. JPA has just welcomed EQ, an Icelandic accounting and business advisory firm, as its new correspondent in its network.
The visit also gave Patrick Sigurdsson the opportunity to reconnect with several key players for future projects:
- Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Finance: discussions on financing and real estate development projects;
- Göng og brú, the State’s new property and infrastructure company: presentation of its projects;
- Betri samgöngur: development of the KELDUR project with French developers;
- Economic Adviser to the Prime Minister: how French companies can take part in Icelandic economic projects;
- Reykjavik University (RU): the exchange programme with ESCP planned for 2027, led by CC FRIS;
- French Embassy in Iceland: presentation of JPA and of CC FRIS activities in France to the Ambassador and the Economic Attaché, and a shared commitment to develop reciprocal cooperation;
- Icelandic press: several meetings.
Some of these meetings were held on behalf of JPA: at the French Embassy, then at the annual evening of the Franco-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce in Reykjavik, which brought together the Franco-Icelandic business community and where the new JPA/EQ collaboration was presented to the business participants.
